Newspapers in public libraries
Strnad, Jakub ; Slámová, Hana (advisor) ; Machytka, Jan (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out how the activities concerning daily press go in five selected public libraries. In opening chapter the examined branch is delineated by definitions of used terms, previous adaptations of this topic are summarized, and methodology of research based on interview and surveys is introduced. Hypotheses are expressed in the last part of this chapter. In the second chapter all the Czech national daily press is characterized and their internet activities are documented. If those titles have an electronic version, it's functionality is examined in this part of thesis. Chapters 3 and 4 present results of research which was done at five libraries of various sizes. The third chapter presents selected libraries and it describes the workflow of purchasing the press in those organizations with a special emphasis on the process of choosing the material. In the fourth chapter the preferences of readers in selected libraries and the intensity of their interest over time are examined. This part of dissertation also includes analysis of other activities concerning press such as cataloguing and displacing journals. Third and Fourth chapter are closed with summarization of detected facts. In the conclusion assigned hypotheses are confirmed or disconfirmed.

Evaluation of property, plant and equipment from perspective of Czech legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS
Stuchlá, Marcela ; Kuchařová, Ivana (advisor) ; Lenka, Lenka (referee)
The content of this Bachelors dissertation is property, plant and equipment from the perspective of Czech legislation and from the perspective of International financial reporting standards IFRS. The dissertation is split to theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical section provides information according to the Czech law, what actually asset is, how it can be purchased, appreciate, depreciate, inventory and disposal. Then there it is also discussed as in IRFS, simply described what the standards are and why they are used here in Czech Republic. It is also described register of assets, from acquisition to disposal. In the practical part shows posting from both viewpoints in foreign company which has one plant in Czech Republic.
Evaluation of selected impacts of elimination and longevity of dairy cows
VLACHOVÁ, Iva
The aim of this thesi is the evaluation of selected impacts of elimination and longevity of Holstein and Czech spotted dairy cows on the Ing. Bohuslav Vacka´s farm in Vrchotovy Janovice according to the reason of this elimination, the age at the first calving, milk production of the first milk lactation, lifetime milk lactation and the number of milk lactation during the lifetime. I also evaluated functional longevity (from the first calving to retirement) and the longevity of life (from the birth to retirement) of retired dairy cows and the relationship between age at the first calving, milk production of the first lactation and lifetime milk production. In monitoring were included 359 pieces of cows eliminated during five years, from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2014. From these, 217 pieces of Holstein cows and 142 pieces of Czech spotted cows. Both breeds were stalled in the same barn with the same nutrition. At the monitored group were eliminated altogether 31.22% of dairy cows. Holstein cows were excluded very often from other medical reasons (28.57%) and the Czech spotted cows for fertility disorders (45.77%). Higher milk productivity and higher average number of lactations for the life reached eliminated Holstein cows in comparison with the Czech spotted cows. Longer lifetime longevity reached Holstein cows (63 months) than Czech spotted cows (53.6 months) and among them was found highly significant difference at a significance level of p 0,001. Higher longevity and lifetime milk production in kg of milk reached Holstein cows calved in 25 to 26 months and Czech spotted cows calved within 27 to 28 months. The relationship between age at the first calving and lifetime milk production at Holstein (r = 0.018) and Czech spotted cows (r = 0.0434) proved to be an insignificant dependence and the relationship between milk production at the first lactation and lifetime milk production at Holstein (r = 0.3317) and Czech spotted cows (r = 0.4436) proved to be as a highly significant correlation (p 0.001).
An evaluation the reasons of the discarding of dairy cows from the breed
ZNAMENANÁ, Lucie
The aim of the trial was to estimate the most common reasons of discarding of diary cows from the breeding. The major priority is to keep good health of breeding dairy cows and welfare conditions in the cattle breeding, because good health belongs among main conditions of economically successful milk production. Among the most common reasons of diary cows discarding belongs discarding for udder disease, for disorder of the reproduction, the discarding from another health reasons, for low yields and for old age. There were observed 519 out diary cows in the herd of Holsteins breed, where was observed reason of the discarding by genotype, the first calving age, the age of discarding by indicators of the reproduction and milk yields. Health reasons (36,22 %) and disorder of the reproduction (34,68 %) of diary cows were the often cause of premature discarding diary cows form the breed, which increased the cost for herd replacement and reduced average milk yields. For the improvement of breed economic there is therefore key improvement of reproduction indicators and health.
Breeding of Normande cattle in Czech republic
KABÁTKOVÁ, Zdenka
The aim of this diploma work was to review the current state of breeding of Normande cattle in Czech republic. The reason for introducing the breeding of this cattle is some of its qualities. The most important of these include a higher percentage of casein in milk as well as good conversion of nutrients from the bulk feed and meat quality. Monitoring of cattle took place in four separate farms in years 2005 - 2009. There was created basic monitored group from pure Normande breed. Control groups were from pure Holstein dairy cattle, Czech Spotted dairy cattle. Fertility evaluation was done by following four indicators: age at first calving, insemination interval, service period and interlude. Evaluation of efficiency was based on milk production, protein production and content of the milk constituents. Results of fertility show that with the exception of age of first calving (832 days), the breeding goal hasn't been met to Breeders Association of Normande cattle. Value of insemination interval was 88,74 days, value of service period was 134,28 days and value of interlude was evaluated at 462,38 days. When we compare the Normande breed with Holstein breed, milk production of Normande breed is lower about 2025,4 kg, as well as lower protein production about 48,6 kg. Difference between fertility results for both breeds is within statistical discrepancy. In comparison with the Czech Spotted breed, the Normande breed is at least competitive in both indicators: fertility and efficiency as well. Content of milk constituents in Normande cows milk is significantly higher than in the milk of the other two breeds (4,38 to 4,41% of fat, 3,76 to 3,81% of protein, 4,89 to 5,20% of lactose). There was the highest culling (57.4%) in the basic selection of pure Normande dairy cows in comparison to selections of other breeds. The main reason for discarding were the other health reasons.
The issue of creation of reserves for the decommissioning of nuclear installations
Metelková, Michaela ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Knápek, Jaroslav (referee)
This work is focused on the issue of creation of reserves to cover the costs of decommissioning of nuclear installations. These costs arise from the need to prevent exposure to radioactivity and other pollutants that adversely affect the environment and human health. The thesis describes various systems of decommissioning of nuclear installations and the creation of reserves in selected countries - the Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Finland and France. The analytical part of the work deals with comparative analysis of the creation of reserves for decommissioning of nuclear facilities in selected countries and their subsequent evaluation. The work is a basis for optimizing the system for establishing reserves for decommissioning of nuclear facilities in the Czech Republic.
